Attorney Coryn I. Steinfeld

Attorney Coryn I. Steinfeld received her J.D. in law from DePaul University College of Law in 2008. While a law student, she was a member of the Public Interest Law Association and volunteered to serve as a mock trial coach for students at Sullivan High School in the spring of 2008.

Prior to law school, she attended Beloit College where she earned a spot on the Dean’s list and a Beloit Presidential Scholarship. She also was awarded a Sanger Research Fellowship which led her to do research and write about teenage parenthood in Beloit, Wisconsin. In the spring of 2003, she studied abroad at the University of Dar es Salaam in the African nation of Tanzania, returning to the college to graduate in December of 2003 with a degree in political science and African studies.

After graduating from Beloit, she returned to Dar es Saslaam, and served as Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Dar es Salaam International Academy in 2004 and as project consultant to the Mothers’ Empowerment Group in that same year.

Her professional experience prior to joining Hausmann-McNally in Decatur includes working as a law clerk in the law office of the Cook County Public Defender in Chicago.
